Twitch Channel Pages Revamp Their Look to Help Streamers Promote Their Individuality
In 2019 Twitch announced that channel pages would become more customizable for Twitch streamers. Some of the perks included more control over home pages, channel trailers, schedules, and how a streamer’s page looks offline.
Well, that day has finally come — starting in May 2020 Twitch streamers now have more control over what their channel page looks like. They can now create stream schedules, upload customizable banners, turn on vacation mode (what!?), add a curated selection of videos, and bigger avatars. They can even add in an integrated stream schedule, so viewers can see when the next planned stream is (you know for streamers who keep schedules on-time).
Anyone who has been on Twitch knows that old channel pages were pretty basic, with all of them looking the same — which of course made it difficult for Twitch Streamers to represent their brand accurately and stand out from the crowd. At least now, Twitch is attempting to create individuality within a saturated system.
